Sustainable Holiday clothes 2023

Posted by Malaika Haaning on

What is sustainable holiday clothes? Sustainable holiday clothes is clothes that you cherish year after year, and that you mostly only wear at that time of the year.

15 years ago I was gifted a sequin dress by my besties.

I loved it. And ever since it has been an essential part of my holiday wardrobe.

But after 15 years of wearing the same dress, I thought it was time to try something new.

So today I want to inspire you to do the same. This is a truly sustainable holiday evening wear collection made from deadstock and sustainable materials produced in low quantities. Shall we?

The Sequins Skirt

A woman wearing a sequins dress made from dead-stock fabrics. A zero-waste dress by Malaika New York

The sequin skirt is the definition of versatility. The skirt can be turned in whichever direction you desire because of the elastic waste band. The picture shows you a front view, but it can easily be twisted to the side or even the back you can really have fun with it. These skirts was only made in a total of 9 pieces. The stock is very low I believe there is 2 small & 2 medium left.

The Jutland Dress

The Jutland dress is one of my favourite Holiday pieces because of opportunities that the dress have in store for you. The dress is loose fitted so you can enjoy your self without constantly being worried about what you eat or drink. Wear it with a pair of tights or a faux leather leggings. If you are looking for a dress with sleeves then pair it with a long sleeved tee maybe even a lace top underneath.

The LBD w. Sequins

The LBD sequins dress is the best of two worlds. It’s elegant, comfortable, and planet-friendly. Dress is up with a pair of high-heels and tights or wear it with a pair of faux leather leggings and booties.

Find these 3 styles and more under our curated Holiday collection.
